Red Wines
2006 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon:
Good flavor intensity and juicy fruit complements the earthiness. Additional flavors include cocoa, clove, and cinnamon enhanced by smokiness from the oak barrel. A solid acid balance, medium weight, and chewy tannins envelop the wine.
2005 Mast Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon:
Classic Cabernet fruit aromas with hints of dried thyme and cedar. Red fruit flavors are complemented by dark chocolate, cherry and a touch of leather. Oak is well integrated and the wine has a rich mouth-feel, medium tannins, and a lingering finish.
2006 Mast Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon:
The fruit stems from one of the Laird’s most prestigious single vineyards located on the hillside of Yountville. Enticing aromas of currants, cassis, and tobacco accentuated by the dark ruby hues introduce a rich, voluptuous body.
2003 Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon:
A mature aroma offers nuances of dusty rose, eucalyptus, and menthol. Intense black fruit flavor and some cherry and olive components in the plush middle; raspberry and leather in the finish. This mountain Cabernet is approaching its peak, and is very balanced with good structure and length.
2007 Jillian's Blend:
The color combines deep purple and reddish hues. On the nose is an enticing floral aroma of red roses, along with an attractive earthiness. The palate is alive with cherry, currant, red plums, sweet vanilla bean and an intriguing blood orange zest. This wine’s finish is lengthy and delicious. Serve with roasted pork loin with a caramelized, sweet onion red wine reduction sauce.
2004 Dyer Ranch Syrah:
Deep hues of blue and purple followed by concentrated aroma of sour cherries. Blackberry and boysenberry fruit flavors are balanced by a firm structure and soft tannins. This restrained Syrah will complement lamb and other grilled meats.
2007 Suscol Ranch Syrah:
The color is deep and inky, a clue to the rich flavors that follow. On the palate, juicy red fruit persists with bay leaf and clove in the background. The finish is long and flavorful, leaving trails of dusty cocoa.
2007 Suscol Ranch Merlot:
It’s been a long time coming, but our unforgettable Suscol Ranch Merlot is back. The 2007 vintage produced some of the best fruit we’ve seen in a long time here in Napa Valley. The aromatics lead with an ample offering of cranberries and pomegranate.
